Super Magro World

Have you ever imagined Don Ramón in the fantastic and colorful Mushroom Kingdom?

Super Magro World is a remake of Super Mario World where the famous Italian plumber is replaced by none other than our beloved Don Ramón (also known as Seu Madruga, in Brazil)!

Have you ever imagined Don Ramón in the world of the incredibly famous Italian plumber from Nintendo? Well, Super Magro World, this free and independent Brazilian fan game by CyberGamba, gives you the chance to see and experience how it would be! In other words, it’s a fan-developed platformer where you control Don Ramón in the Mushroom Kingdom, the world of the classic and legendary game that most of us probably already know!

No less famous is Don Ramón, perhaps the most beloved character from the extremely popular Mexican comedy show, El Chavo del Ocho (also known as Chaves in Brazil). In the game, besides jumping on monsters to defeat them, Don Ramón can also transform into a ninja, somewhat reminiscent of the Shinobi character from Sega, when he grabs a Japanese symbol that occasionally appears throughout the levels.

This free platform game is certainly one of the most famous Brazilian games made by fans based on this popular and beloved television show. In fact, it is in Portuguese, but it’s language wont prevent anyone from playing it. Just press Z to start game and check the controls section of this post.

Review

The graphics of the game are all taken from the TV show and/or the original game, having been edited, ripped, or recreated from scratch, but all in the same style. This way, Super Magro World results in a very retro-looking game, resembling the old-school games we love. Although, it’s worth noting that Super Magro World isn’t exactly a new title, as it was originally released in 2003.

However, despite its old-school look and simple gameplay, Super Magro World can appeal to all ages, not just nostalgic players. The controls are responsive, it’s fun, and it has a humorous vibe, thanks to our hero! In fact, even some foreigners have been pulling the game, despite it being in Portuguese…
