Santa Claus in Trouble is a 3D Xbox-style platform game where Santa Claus must save children’s presents by running and jumping across rooftops and chimneys to prevent Christmas from being ruined!
Developed by Joymania Development, published by CDV Software Entertainment AG and originally released in 2002, this free Christmas Windows platformer puts the player in a journey to help Santa Claus run and jump across rooftops, constructions, and chimneys to rescue his presents from evil orcs and snowmen. Only then can Santa Claus save this holy day!
The Santa Claus in Trouble‘s graphics are very good considering its time, resembling those of the same genre released for the first Xbox, but with the advantage of being free and running on Windows. Everything here is colorful and has a lighthearted, Christmas atmosphere, making it a really good title, especially if you wanna play it in this time of year!
Light versions of the songs Jingle Bells and Silent Night maintain the pace of the game, relaxing you even while enjoying a frenetic gameplay experience. In other words, Santa Claus in Trouble is fast-paced, but its music and overall atmosphere will help keep you from having a heart attack! In fact, the gameplay here is really good. It may seem simple, but running while trying to stay on the floating platforms—moving blocks and performing other actions while collecting presents—is as challenging as it is fun!
