Chimney Presents

A charming free holiday platformer by Daniel Linssen!

Chimney Presents is a short it, precision-focused 2D platformer by Australian indie developer Daniel Linssen (Managore), who built with a minimalist retro aesthetic and tight movement, the game sends players on a festive mission: helping Santa deliver presents across a series of increasingly challenging rooftops.

Each level represents a different house, and your task is to reach every chimney shown on the counter before returning to the sleigh. The platforming leans into clever level layouts — moving platforms, rotating surfaces, falling icicles, snowball platforms that disappear after one use, and environmental hazards like holly leaves that instantly knock Santa out.

Despite its simple presentation, Chimney Presents offers a surprisingly polished difficulty curve. Movement is responsive, deaths are instant but fair, and later stages require thoughtful routing to ensure Santa can still reach the sleigh after completing deliveries. Checkpoints help keep the pace brisk, although their dialogue replays on death, a small quirk of an otherwise smooth experience. A particularly charming touch is it’s delightful retro graphics added to a soft ambient snowy-night atmosphere in the background — a unique choice that complements its cozy, understated holiday vibe.

Originally released for free in December 2016 for Windows, Chimney Presents is a  example of what a small-scale indie platformer can be: short, clever, polished, and memorable. And this one tight seasonal small title is an easy recommendation — and it won’t cost you anything!
