Bear and Breakfast is a laid-back management adventure game where you play as a well-meaning bear trying to run a B+B in the woods. Hank and his friends find an abandoned shack and, equipped with their teenage ingenuity, turn it into a money-making bed and breakfast scheme for unsuspecting tourists.
As your business expands so do the mysteries of the forest, and Hank soon finds himself uncovering a plot deeper than the wilderness itself.

Gameplay
In Bear and Breakfast, the player controls Hank, a bear who takes over the management of a run-down bed and breakfast. The main goal is to renovate the establishment and attract human guests, maximizing their satisfaction by building and decorating various types of rooms and facilities. Over time, guest demands increase, requiring larger and better-decorated rooms to attract more discerning clients.
There are several areas in the game that can be unlocked by completing quests and advancing through the main story. Additionally, the game incorporates resource management mechanics, crafting, and even a card-based cooking mini-game.
It’s important to pay attention to items in the environment. Shiny elements on the ground, for example, indicate materials needed for building repairs and creating new items. Additionally, NPCs with exclamation or question marks indicate ongoing quests or tasks that need to be completed. Repairing monuments and structures also increases the chances of attracting more guests.
When it comes to construction, the game allows players to edit and expand rooms. Creating larger rooms can be more advantageous in the long run, as it allows for larger furniture that increases guest comfort—essential for better reviews. Player-crafted furniture offers comfort points, while decorations, mainly bought from the NPC Took, improve the aesthetic score.
Other helpful tips for players include always checking the Bon Voyage truck and Took’s dumpster to unlock new recipes and decorations. Additionally, if the player is low on money, they can visit Hank’s mom to receive some coins, as long as their balance is below 100.
