Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a first-person action-RPG set in Warhammer’s medieval fantasy universe and serves as the sequel to Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide (2015). It was developed by the independent Swedish studio Fatshark and was originally released on March 8, 2018.

The game is set during the early days of the End Times and follows the Heroes of Ubersreik from the first Vermintide as they face the Skaven hordes of Clan Fester and their new allies, the Rotbloods — a Chaos warband devoted to Nurgle, the Chaos God of Disease and Decay.

Published by Fatshark itself and available on Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 received generally positive reviews from critics, earned several award nominations, and became a commercial success. It also holds thousands of very positive user reviews on Steam — at least for now.
