Here we have the free, playable demo version of Selaco, an impressive cyberpunk boomer shooter built on an advanced Doom engine, GZDoom, by the Altered Orbit Studios that was released in early access on May 30, 2024.
Selaco promises exciting action scenarios, destructibility, intelligent enemies and a detailed story that takes place in an immersive sci-fi world with a retrowave feel!
What we have here is a very useful demo of an exciting FPS. It was only available on Steam until its early access and was removed from the store because it was very outdated, incompatible with the newer Selaco‘s saves and because it did not reflect the final product. The good news is that the demo has been officially preserved by Altered Orbit Studios themselves, and available for Windows and Linux.
We don’t know what the limitations of the demo are, but we can say that Selaco is a fully developed world, full of personality, action and mystery! The fact that it was developed on an engine that is the evolution of one of the best games of all time guarantees at least 50% of its quality too! Furthermore, it has influences from F.E.A.R. and Quake.
