Hero Core

Hero Core is a retro-styled and freeware shooter created by Daniel Remar.It features black and white colors, pixel art graphics and multiple difficulty levels.

Released in 2010, it is a sequel to the game Hero, also by the same creator, and refers to the classic H.E.R.O., which was very popular on the Atari 2600 console.

Synopsis

Flip Hero returns for the final battle against his nemesis Cruiser Tetron – but can he really stop the reign of the machine warlord for all time? Like the first game, the controls are simple and the gameplay is easy to learn. The non-linear game world allows you to tackle the boss machines in nearly any order, or head straight for Tetron’s headquarters if you’re skilled enough.
