Half-Life 2 is a science fiction first-person shooter and the sequel to the classic Half-Life in which Gordon Freeman joins the resistance to free Earth from the alien clutches of a multidimensional empire. It was developed by Valve and released on November 16, 2004.
This FPS takes place when the Combine invade Earth and erect a fortification in City 17, a place in Eastern Europe that resembles the ghettos of World War II, led by Dr. Wallace Breen, a traitor to the human race and a Combine’s stooge. Fortunately, the mysterious G-man frees Gordon to try to fix things.
Published by Valve itself and available for Windows, Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Mac OS X, Linux and Android, Half-Life 2 was a resounding critical success, winning several awards, and, more importantly, in the market.
