Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead levels are based on planning and building bridges over rivers or ravines using a limited number of pieces, constrained by the geometry of the space and an overall cost limit, while also dealing with rubble and destruction that make construction more challenging. The goal in each scenario—set within the universe of the series—is to ensure that the survivors can cross the bridge safely without being caught by zombies.
Players can control familiar characters from The Walking Dead and use iconic vehicles from the series to traverse the constructions. Each character can receive specific commands and has unique abilities. For example, Daryl can use his crossbow to trigger chain reactions in the environment. The game encourages creative use of traps like signs, trash cans, and explosives, making object and vehicle physics a key element of the gameplay.
Players use materials such as wood, steel, and cables to connect points and build stable structures. Simply “connecting the dots” isn’t enough — it’s necessary to consider structural support, vehicle weight, and survivor paths.
