Aftermath is a special edition of World War Z, a third-person shooter set in the same universe as the 2013 film of the same name. It was developed by Saber Interactive and released on April 16, 2019.
Loosely based on the 2006 book, also titled World War Z, the game follows groups of survivors during a zombie apocalypse in the cities of Moscow, New York, Jerusalem, Tokyo, Sydney, Oslo, Barcelona, Denver, Cairo, Seoul, Budapest, Auckland, Buenos Aires, Paris, and Johannesburg.
World War Z: Aftermath was released on September 21, 2021. It includes the Game of the Year Edition and adds three new locations (Marseille, Rome, and Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula), new characters, an overhauled melee combat system, and a first-person mode.
