Weapon of Choice is an independent action, platform, and run-and-gun side-scrolling shooter game with gameplay similar to Contra and a science fiction theme that features psychedelic-looking extraterrestrial creatures. Developed by Mommy’s Best Games, it was initially released on November 14, 2008.
Published by Mommy’s Best Games itself and made available for Windows and Xbox 360, Weapon of Choice received mixed reviews from critics. However, on Steam, it has garnered hundreds of positive reviews, at least up until the time of this publication.
On September 23, 2015, the game was re-released as Weapon of Choice DX, bringing improvements and new content, for Windows, Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox One X|S.
