Styx: Shards of Darkness is a stealth-focused action game, the sequel to Styx: Master of Shadows (2014), and the third title set in the fictional world of the Of Orcs and Men series. It was developed by Cyanide and initially released on March 14, 2017.

The protagonist can clone himself, set traps, become temporarily invisible, and use ropes and hooks to reach elevated areas, allowing for everything from direct confrontation to complete evasion in different situations. Shards of Darkness also introduces an online cooperative mode, in which a second player takes control of one of Styx’s clones, expanding tactical possibilities and reinforcing the strategic nature of the missions.

Published originally by Focus Home Interactive (now by Nacom) and available for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Styx: Shards of Darkness was met with a mixed reception from critics. However, it has thousands of very positive reviews on Steam and is rated 4/5 on GOG, at least at the time of this publication.
