Star Wars Arcade Remake – Battle of Yavin is a free fan-made project that modernizes the iconic Battle of Yavin from Sega’s 1998 arcade rail shooter, Star Wars Trilogy Arcade. While preserving the original’s challenging gameplay, it offers a significant upgrade in terms of graphics and control.
Developed by Stefano Cagnani of Steven Games Studio using Unreal Engine 4, this remake was released for Windows on October 22, 2023. It retains the core theme and perspective of the classic game but enhances the player’s control over their spacecraft, providing a gameplay experience reminiscent of a third-person shooter.
