Gameplay

ScourgeBringer takes place in a distant future, where a mysterious monolith threatens what remains of civilization. Amid the ruins, heroine Kyhra embarks on a quest to uncover the secrets behind this enigmatic force and save humanity.

The game is a side-view roguelike with procedurally generated levels. The player has a limited amount of health and can upgrade abilities through a skill tree. Over multiple runs, you can earn currency to unlock permanent upgrades.

Gameplay is fast, fluid, and highly aerial, allowing the character to barely touch the ground, thanks to a dash system used both for movement and attacking. Kyhra also wields a limited-ammo firearm to complement her melee attacks.

A minimap helps track your progress through each area, and every level ends with a boss fight. Each room must be cleared of enemies to unlock the exit, and some of them are filled with deadly traps that require quick reflexes to avoid — complete with bullet-hell style projectiles.
