Fallout: London is a massive, free mod for Fallout 4, comparable in size to an expansion/DLC, that brings the Fallout universe to a post-apocalyptic, ruined London. It was independently developed by Team FOLON and released on July 25, 2024.
This total conversion is set in 2237 and follows the player’s character, the Wayfarer, as he works among various factions vying for control of London. Development of the mod began in 2019, and its map is the same size as Fallout 4‘s, featuring five sections to explore.
Distinguishing itself from its contemporaries and offering a completely new experience outside of the United States, Fallout: London is set in England, featuring opulent parliamentary aristocrats, Knights of the Round Table, a relentless cult of revolutionaries, the unmistakable aesthetic of a nuclear London, and more.

Warning and instructions
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Installation
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation’s instructions provided by Team FOLONYou will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via GOG’s dedicated launcher.
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on GOG, since this version is directly compatible with Fallout: London, you will only have to follow these easy steps:
- Install the English version of Fallout 4: GOTY Edition via GOG GALAXY and disable your cloud saves.
- Get Fallout London in the GOG’s store for free.
- Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
- Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
