The famous and addictive puzzler Doodle God is free for a limited time (and it’s free to keep) in another time-limited Indiegala’s giveaway offer. For now, it can still be claimed at no cost, but its regular price is US$14,99!
Doodle God is an independently developed puzzle game by JoyBits, with gameplay inspired by the Russian JavaScript game Alchemygame, which was itself based on an old MS-DOS game named Alchemy.
Highly praised by critics and featuring several spin-offs and sequels, Doodle God was originally released for iOS on June 11, 2010, and was later ported to numerous platforms, such as Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Android, and Windows Phone. However, I first encountered it as a Flash version, designed to be played in a browser.
You can get the game here! There’s also free online versions here!

About the game
Forge your own path using logic and ingenuity by combining and mixing different elements—from bacteria, insects, ceramics, and tools to weapons and beyond! Starting with basic elements, you can create a world full of locomotives, dragons, skyscrapers, aliens, and much more.
As you create new elements, watch the world come to life, with new beings and objects populating the planet’s surface. But beware! Players need to be cautious of unintended consequences! Creating a new world isn’t as simple as it seems—inventing the wheel could lead to a zombie plague!
Don’t worry too much, though. You’re not entirely alone in this cosmic journey. Every time you create something new, you’ll be rewarded with the wit and wisdom of the greatest philosophers and comedians!
Gameplay
As the Doodle God, the player must combine available elements to create new ones. The combinations can be physical (e.g., water and lava to create steam and stone) or metaphorical (e.g., water and fire to create alcohol). The game starts with just the four classic elements (fire, water, air, and earth) and focuses on discovering 115 elements across 14 categories. If the player gets stuck, hints are available at certain intervals.
There are two game modes: Planet Mode, where players discover a new and challenging way to develop the universe of their dreams; and the new Tournament Mode, where players can challenge others online.
